Is Batman Overrated?

He's overvalued because he's worth $500 million to DC every year. This implies he appears in more stories than anybody else and wins fights he has little chance of winning. He used to be a super hero with no abilities, but now he has a huge list of them: superhuman strength, godlike endurance, toughness, steel-like bones, and so on. At this point, I'm trying to sell the impression that he's just a regular human being.

I'll say it again: $500 million per year brings you all of this nonsense. He wouldn't have nearly as many absurd victories over guys who should properly separate his head from his shoulders before he realised he's in a fight if he didn't bring home the bacon.

Batman can endure punches that would turn him to crimson paste, has the reflex reaction time of the Flash when he needs it (and has even beaten the Flash in ordinary hand-to-hand fighting), and has even had situations where every strike he throws at Wonder Woman somehow connects and he overcomes her (though admittedly when they fight USUALLY she kicks his butt).

He isn't the case. He's done a lot of crap. Although Spider-Man is worth $1.3 billion per year to Marvel, you won't see comics in which he kicks the buttocks of every other Avengers hero, perhaps because Marvel writers aren't as desperate, I'm not sure.
